Hotel Linen

1. Linen is a type of fabric that can be washed and applied to various forms of hotel goods.

2. Types of linen that are usually used as hotel operational equipment, namely bedsheets, table skirting, tablecloths, blankets, duvets, guest napkins, and others.

3. Duties and responsibilities of the linen room supervisor, namely:
a. maintain daily, weekly, and monthly linen administration and inventory,
b. guide, direct, and motivate the linen attendants in their work,
C. supervise the distribution of linen to the room attendant,
d. schedule and evaluate the work of the linen attendant,
e. responsible for the number of linens and uniforms of employees in the linen room,
f. propose and submit the purchase of linen to the executive housekeeper,
g. receive and carry out work programs and tasks that have been set by the executive housekeeper/supervisor,
h. check and write an /ogbook and inform tasks that require follow-up, as well as
i.. always fostering cooperative relationships between hotel departments.

4. The basis for procuring linen in the Housekeeping Department, namely the number of hotel rooms owned, the type of mattress used (single, double, twin, and king size beds), the room occupancy rate, and the ownership of the hotel laundry.

5, Job description is a detailed list containing all the main tasks of a job.

6. The purpose of controlling the hotel linen inventory (linen inventory), namely:
a. knowing the amount of linen used by the hotel,
b. knowing the amount of linen inventory (par stock) in the hotel, C. knowing the amount of dirty or missing linen, and
d. as a note to do the recapitulation of linen.

7, Hotel linen must be stored properly in the linen room and kept clean.

8. When checking linen inventory, a linen attendant must make regular linen reports (daily, monthly, and yearly) to inform the type of linen used, damaged linen, and linen that needs to be repaired or replaced.
