Become a Good Housekeeping Order Taker
1. Housekeeping officers who handle all the needs of the Housekeeping Department at the hotel via telephone are called order takers.
2. Equipment needed for housekeeping order taker, namely computer, logbook, telephone switchboard, teleohone, key control, key drop, housekeeping information, hotel information, work order, lost and found form, and pest control book.
3. The requirements to become an order taker are:
a. experienced in public areas, rooms (Floor Section), and other outlets,
b. mastering product knowleage (in/out hotel),
C. have good communication skills,
d. have the ability to speak English and/or other languages orally and in writing,
e. Able to operate computer and take care of administration,
f. able to be professional, friendly, polite, empathetic, and flexible,
g. good looking, and
h. responsible and able to take appropriate actions and solutions for guest satisfaction.
4. The types of forms required by an order taker, namely work orders, logbooks, pest control books, lost and found forms, loan forms, and guest request forms.
5. Types of requests from hotel guests, namely adding extra beds, changing hotel linens, cleaning guest rooms, and adding guest supplies.
